Monitoring my work, its progress allows me to reposition myself to how I would like to achieve my goals. Having to reflect on all that has been happening and understanding how this project has become what it is today.

During the ideation phase, I kept facing roadblocks. Having to conquer the exhaustion from school work and running out of creativity too quick. I was drained and burnt out. But I had to pick myself back up and continue on this marathon.

I faced the biggest struggles when I had to balance out other modules workload and started to procrastinate on my GL project. At one point in time, I almost stopped doing work for my project. I had to stop all my other work and look back to why I embarked on this journey. Was it for my own benefit or the benefit of others? My intention then encouraged me to pick my work and start, even if I was jotting down ideas and letting my creativity flow.

Although my project was delayed when it hit the perform phase, I quickly picked up pace and began doing my drafts.

Having received positive feedback and feedback to improve and make better my designs, I have learnt to appreciate others opinions. I had asked for feedback from my classmates and mentors that can be found in my blog post on the project progress.

After receiving their feedback, I pondered on them and ensured that I fully understood them before moving on to my next draft.

I received continuous support and suggestions to improve from my mentors, which I am really grateful for. They not only encourage me in this journey, but push me to strive for more.

Though the drafts may still be in its early stages, I have decided to continue on with this project even if this module ends as I know that I must complete what I have began and sought out to do.

Monitoring my project has taught me that there is always someone there to support you in your journey. Be it a friend, lecturer, or a mentor.

I am never alone in this journey of learning and growing. I should never falter even if the waves get stronger.

It was very hard for me to keep pace with my timeline, as I was already delayed. Hence, I decided to restrategise and re-write my plan and gantt chart.

I finally realised why I was burning out too quickly; I had squeezed in my work into the earlier stages and did not look at my projects timeline very realistically. I was too ambitious and had set myself into a sprint rather than a marathon.

I then learnt, that when planning out my assignments. I have to consider that there is always other work to do, and that I need to space out my work carefully, or risk burning out too quickly. I would begin by giving myself more time to think my plans rather than rush into it with too much enthusiasm without considering other factors, like time and ability.
